Yahweh is in the Blessing Business !

I had an epiphany today.

After all that I have been through, after all of the days when stress was on high and hope on low, I seemed to have always received a blessing which renewed my spirit and reminded me that my heavenly father has always been in the blessing business and he has always wanted me as a customer.

I try to live by the scripture “acknowledge him in all of your ways and he shall direct your paths”. What does that mean?

To me, that means that I must always know that what I am going through is his will. If I am a good customer I will heed the instructions and not veer from the path, too far. But just as a parent guides a toddler when it's legs are weak and shaky, Yahweh guides me.

I have been away from the path before, and yet somehow I found my way back to the bright, clear loving path that has been laid out for me. I don't wonder why me? I see blessings where there appear to be none. Adversity presents me with the opportunity to take stock of my blessings and realize that I am not alone. It's the hard times that make the good times sweet. That understanding is a blessing, in itself.

I used to say, don't expect a blessing if you have not counted the blessings you already have.
Yahweh is indeed in the blessing business!

So if you haven't counted the blessings you now have, don't expect any new ones.
The act of counting and taking inventory of the blessings in your life will wash away what ever there is that is clouding your sunshine.

Start with health. Without it, no amount of money or material possessions matter. Even in failing health, there are blessings to be tallied. I have been in intensive care, without insurance, fighting for my life with an open incision from here to there and I remember thanking Yahweh for my family and my mind and my doctors and the nurses and the sheets on the bed and the socks and slippers that kept my feet warm.

No matter how bad it appeared, I knew, in my heart that I was the owner of innumerable blessings of all kinds. Then with time, my body healed and I had other blessings enter my life is ways that best fall into the “Yahweh works in Mysterious ways” category.
Blessings sometimes come in the form of the last thing you wanted.

Some times the one thing you don't want, is the very thing you need. Often this happens with relationships and unexpected problems, parking tickets and bench warrants, the last thing you wanted turns out to be the key to new levels of understanding or accomplishments.
My friend has a tag line on all of his e-mails. It reads. “ Adversity, introduces man, to himself.”

So, remember, Yahweh is in the blessing business and he wants you as customer.

Who is Yahweh to you?
